Different Numbers for Each Ministry, Government Consultation Hotlines Unified to '110'
Integration of Non-Emergency Consultation Hotlines into '110'
Eliminating the Hassle of Searching for Separate Ministry Numbers
The consultation hotline for government policies and systems will be consolidated into a single number: 110.
The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission announced on May 7 that it had reported the "Implementation Plan for Integrating Non-Emergency Consultation Hotlines into 110" to the Cabinet and would move forward with efforts to unify the consultation numbers.
Currently, each government ministry and public institution operates its own representative consultation number. As a result, individuals seeking assistance have faced inconvenience in having to search for the relevant agency and confirm its contact number based on the nature of their inquiry.
Going forward, the main consultation hotline for central government agencies will be unified into the 110 number. General consultations, such as guidance on government policies, explanations of systems, and information on the responsible agency, will all be handled through 110. However, for consultations in technical fields or those requiring personal information verification, the existing specialized call center system will be maintained.
To achieve this, a database (DB) system for consultations at central government agencies and public institutions will be established, and a pilot program will be launched targeting 15 central ministries. By 2028, a "110 Consultation Portal" will also be developed. Artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including voice recognition and policy information learning models, will be actively introduced to enhance consultation efficiency. If immediate on-site action is needed during a consultation, a one-stop system will directly connect the caller to the appropriate specialized call center.
