Goheung County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Gong Youngmin), announced that on April 25, it held the '2026 Dementia Overcoming Walk Event' along Nampalanggil in Duwon-myeon with local residents to share the importance of dementia prevention and strengthen the commitment to overcoming it.
This event was organized to encourage physical activity among seniors by walking along Nampalanggil, which showcases Goheung's beautiful natural scenery, and to raise social awareness about dementia with the aim of creating a "Healthy Goheung Free from Dementia Worries."

Participants wrote hopeful messages or witty words of encouragement for dementia patients and their families, and posted them on a bulletin board themselves.
Through this, the perception that dementia is not just an individual's problem but a challenge that the entire local community must embrace together was further spread.
