It is also intended to support increased sales for small business owners in the region who are struggling amid the prolonged economic downturn.
Accordingly, citizens will be able to recharge up to 1,000,000 won in PajuPay during May, and the incentive rate will remain unchanged at 10%. If the full 1,000,000 won is recharged, an additional 10% will be provided by the city, resulting in a total issuance of 1,100,000 won.
A Paju City official stated, "Raising the PajuPay recharge limit is part of our efforts to revitalize the local economy by relieving the financial burden on households due to rising prices and stimulating consumption in local neighborhood businesses. We ask for the active use and interest of our citizens."
