Around 30 government officials and representatives from 15 major Singaporean media companies visited Korea to deepen their understanding of the Korean content ecosystem and explore opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.
The Singapore delegation visited major Korean content companies such as SBS, CJ ENM DIA TV, BeMyFriends, Sandbox Network, SM Entertainment, and Coupang Play. They also visited Studio Metakay, NC AI, and Westworld to experience AI-based content production environments and learn about the use of intellectual property.
During this event, SBS signed a memorandum of understanding with IMDA to establish a strategic partnership. The two parties agreed to co-produce a wide range of content, including long-form dramas, entertainment programs, and short-form dramas, and to jointly develop localization strategies for each market, post-production automation, and AI-based content production.
Kakao Entertainment and Studio Genie also held one-on-one business meetings with major Singaporean production companies such as Mediacorp and Beach House Pictures.
