View original imageThis year marks the fifth anniversary of the mural painting event, which will be held three times in May and October, with a total of about 450 group employees and their families expected to participate.
Over the past four years, about 1,000 employees and their families have created murals at a total of 15 schools and social welfare institutions located in the Seoul metropolitan area and Daejeon, contributing to the emotional well-being of local residents and students. The total length of the murals painted is approximately 1 km, covering around 2,400 square meters, which is about one-third the size of a soccer field.
This year, a mural painting activity and musical instrument donation were also carried out at the Armed Forces Daejeon Hospital for hospitalized soldiers. The musical instrument donation aims to provide emotional relief and psychological stability to soldiers who are hospitalized for extended periods or undergoing treatment, and the donated items consist of a set including drums, bass, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar.
The mural designs were planned in collaboration with professional artists specializing in mural projects. At Seongnambuk Elementary School, dynamic illustrations depicting various sports and leisure activities symbolizing a healthy school were featured. At the Armed Forces Daejeon Hospital, elements representing local landmarks such as Hanbit Tower and Expo Bridge in Daejeon, as well as vibrant natural scenery wishing for the healing of soldiers, were included.
