View original imageOtek Carrier (Chairman Kang Sunghee) announced on the 27th that it has successfully concluded the "Carrier The Opus+ AI Video Contest," held to celebrate the launch of its premium AI air conditioner, "The Opus+," and will utilize the winning entries in actual brand advertisements.
This contest required participants to create approximately 30-second videos using generative AI technology to express the brand vision of "an energy solutions company changing the world" as well as product characteristics. It was particularly notable for its consumer-participation format, allowing customers to be directly involved in content creation.
The results were announced on the 17th. One grand prize winner (prize money of 3 million won), one excellence award winner (2 million won), one merit award winner (1 million won), and 30 encouragement award teams (Naver Pay gift certificates worth 30,000 won each) were selected. "Troy, The Last Wind" won the grand prize, and "Opus, The Earth Invasion Will Be Next Time" received the excellence award.
The main winning works will be released sequentially through Carrier's official Instagram and YouTube channels, and are expected to serve as a case where AI content created by consumers is used as actual advertising assets. In addition, if the grand prize winner wishes, Otek Carrier will provide internship participation and recruitment opportunities through internal procedures.
The centerpiece of this contest, "The Opus+," is equipped with AI Air Sense technology based on radar sensors, enabling analysis not only of indoor temperature and humidity but also of user movements and occupancy patterns. By doing so, it offers a personalized cooling environment for each user and automatically adjusts airflow strength and cooling methods according to activity levels. Notably, when the indoor temperature is high, it provides rapid, focused cooling, and upon reaching the set temperature, it switches to an indirect airflow control mode to maintain comfort.
