Support for 60 Pig and Poultry Farms
Jeongeup City is promoting the '2026 Livestock Facility Electrical Safety Inspection Support Project' to prevent property damage to farms caused by barn fires.
This project has been established to eliminate potential fire hazards by conducting preemptive inspections of aging electrical facilities in livestock barns and to build an early response system through the early detection of fires using fire detection equipment.

View original imageJeongeup City plans to invest a total project budget of 30 million won this year to support 60 pig and poultry farms. For smooth and professional inspections, the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation will directly carry out on-site inspections.
The main inspection items include measuring insulation resistance and deterioration of electric circuits using specialized equipment such as thermal imaging cameras, as well as checking the safety of incoming wiring, earth leakage circuit breakers, switches, and grounding systems.
The support will be prioritized for pig and poultry farms that have received a D or C grade in the fire risk rating according to the Fire Safety Inspection results.
