Gyeonggi Province to Offer 369 Units of "Youth Purchase-Lease Housing" in Six Areas Including Suwon
The Gyeonggi Provincial Government and Gyeonggi Housing & Urban Development Corporation (GH) will be accepting applications for preliminary tenants for the "Youth Purchase-Lease Housing" program from April 28 to April 30, 2026, in an effort to promote housing stability among young people.
The "Youth Purchase-Lease Housing" program is a public rental housing initiative in which GH acquires multi-family homes, multiplex houses, and officetels to provide them to young people at approximately 30% of the market price (50% for third-priority applicants), enabling them to live stably within their current communities.
This recruitment of preliminary tenants targets a total of 369 people across six regions: Hadaewon-dong in Seongnam, Seodun-dong in Suwon, Baegot-dong in Siheung, Soha-dong in Gwangmyeong, Nam-dong in Yongin, and Geumchon-dong in Paju.
Eligible applicants must be single, housing-unencumbered young adults as of the announcement date, including university students (including those scheduled to enter or return to school), job seekers, and young people aged 19 to 39.
Tenant selection will be based on priority as follows: ▲First priority (young people who are recipients of livelihood, medical, or housing benefits, single-parent families, or members of the lower-income bracket); ▲Second priority (general young people whose monthly average income, combined with their parents’, is at or below 100% of the standard); ▲Third priority (general young people whose own monthly average income is at or below 100% of the standard).
The rental period is initially set at two years, and contracts may be renewed up to four times if eligibility is maintained.
Applications can be submitted online through the GH Housing Application Center (https://apply.gh.or.kr).
