Woori Bank announced on April 22 that it has signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Viettel Global, a subsidiary of Viettel, the largest mobile carrier in Vietnam.

View original imageViettel Global is a key subsidiary responsible for the overseas telecommunications business and digital investments of the Viettel Group, Vietnam’s largest state-owned enterprise, which is wholly owned by the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam. Operating in more than 10 countries across Southeast Asia, South America, and Africa, Viettel Global has already engaged in financial transactions worth tens of millions of dollars with Woori Bank Vietnam.
Through this agreement, the two parties have agreed to deepen their existing close financial relationship to a higher level. Building on its diverse financial transactions with Viettel Global, Woori Bank plans to share information and expertise on Viettel’s overseas business operations and continue strategic cooperation in various areas, including additional financial support for new market investments.
