This lifestyle-oriented promotion was designed so that busy city residents could naturally encounter Inje’s beautiful nature and tourist attractions in their everyday spaces.
Yeoksam Station is one of Seoul’s major subway stations, with an average daily ridership of 130,000. Through this campaign, the county expects to effectively showcase Inje’s pristine natural environment and travel appeal to potential tourists in the metropolitan area.
Particularly at Yeoksam Station, a satisfaction survey board featuring the phrase "Did you enjoy experiencing the nature of Inje County, Gangwon Province, at Yeoksam Station?" was set up, drawing significant attention from users.
The overwhelming majority of responses indicated, "I now want to visit Inje County." The board was filled with positive messages such as, "The restroom at Yeoksam Station looks better with photos of Inje County," and "Seeing birch trees in the restroom makes the environment more pleasant."
Since 2012, Inje County has steadily promoted tourism through the urban railway network by installing tourism promotional materials in about 30 stations with high foot traffic, including Gangnam, Jamsil, and Hongdae stations.
To date, over 400 picture frames have been installed and wrapping work has been done at more than 80 locations. This year, 18 picture frames and 2 wrapping installations have been completed at Yeoksam Station.
