View original imageThe "Gyeonggi Women's Employment Support Fund" is a program designed to support unemployed women, including those who have had career interruptions due to childbirth, child-rearing, or caregiving. The program provides job search activity funds and employment support programs to help participants enter the labor market and settle into employment.
Eligible applicants are unemployed women aged 35 to 59 who are actively seeking employment. Applicants must have resided in Gyeonggi Province for at least one year and have a household income at or below 150% of the median income level.
Participants will be selected through a quantitative evaluation that considers factors such as income bracket, period of unemployment, and length of residence in Gyeonggi Province, as well as a qualitative assessment of their job search activity plan. Those with the highest total scores will be selected, and the final list of participants is scheduled to be announced in early June.
Selected participants will receive job search activity funds in the form of Gyeonggi local currency—KRW 400,000 per month for three months, up to a maximum of KRW 1.2 million. These funds can be used for academy tuition, certification acquisition fees, and textbook purchases to support employment or starting a business.
In addition, a range of step-by-step employment support programs will be provided during the program period, including employment special lectures, application document consulting, psychological and grievance counseling, employment and entrepreneurship counseling, and employment education. These efforts aim to enhance participants' employment capabilities and improve access to job information.
Unemployed women in the province who wish to apply can submit their applications and required documents online through the "Jobaba Apply" platform.
Furthermore, Gyeonggi Province operates 29 Women's Saeil Centers within the region to promote economic participation among unemployed women, including those with career breaks. These centers offer comprehensive employment support services such as job counseling, vocational training, and the Saeil Women's Internship program.
