View original imageOn that day, Seungwon Park personally toured various parts of the markets, greeting merchants and directly listening to their difficulties due to the recent economic downturn, rising prices, decreased consumption, measures to revitalize traditional markets, and the practical challenges faced by local small businesses. He also spoke with citizens who came to shop, exchanging opinions on the hardships in daily economic life and the recovery of the local economy.
During his visit, Seungwon Park stated, "The temperature of people's livelihoods is felt first in the markets," and added, "Especially in difficult times like now, it is important to hear the reality close to citizens' lives and to create solutions."
He continued, "Gwangmyeong's livelihood economy has been maintained and grown on the foundation of local currency and policies to revitalize neighborhood businesses," and emphasized, "I firmly believe that reviving traditional markets and local businesses is vital for the local economy, and I will continue to operate a municipal administration that puts people's livelihoods first."
Seungwon Park highlighted that during his tenure as the 7th and 8th popularly elected mayor of Gwangmyeong, he protected the livelihood economy by achieving a cumulative local currency issuance of 1 trillion won, revitalizing neighborhood businesses, and strengthening the local consumption circulation structure. He reiterated the need for a "competent local government that protects citizens' lives" as a key message in this election.
