Gwangju Transportation Corporation will publicly recruit 24 new employees—including 19 general positions and 5 public service positions—in order to expand its urban railway operations workforce.
According to Gwangju Transportation Corporation on April 16, the breakdown of general positions includes: 5 in administration, 4 in electrical engineering, 2 in signaling, 2 in telecommunications, 1 in electronics, 4 in train operation, and 1 in mechanical engineering. For public service positions, there are 3 in cleaning, 1 in facility (landscaping), and 1 in maintenance. Both administration and electrical engineering positions each include one slot for candidates with disabilities.

View original imageApplicants are eligible to apply regardless of gender, educational background, or work experience. However, a residency requirement is applied, such as having lived in Gwangju Metropolitan City for at least three years, to foster local talent.
General position applicants must meet the minimum required scores on officially recognized language proficiency tests. For train operation, cleaning, and maintenance roles, candidates must possess the specific qualifications necessary to perform the work.
Applications can be submitted online via the Gwangju City unified recruitment application website from April 24 to April 30. The written exam will be held on May 30. Afterward, successful candidates will go through document screening, aptitude tests, and interviews. The final list of successful applicants will be announced on July 9.
