On April 15, the company announced that, through the establishment of this subsidiary, it will integrate its sales, service, and technical support functions and officially begin expanding its North American operations.
This move goes beyond merely securing an overseas base and is considered a strategic initiative. By combining the local network of Hanyang Robotics—recently acquired by Now Robotics—with Now Robotics’ technological prowess, the company has entered a full-fledged growth phase in the North American market.
The company is already seeing tangible sales results. Now Robotics recently signed a contract worth approximately 3.7 billion won to supply a robotic assembly automation system to Korea Fukoku, an automotive parts manufacturer. The project will be carried out at the FKC America plant in the United States, running from last month through February of next year. This is viewed as a case where the enhanced production capabilities and technological competitiveness resulting from the integration of the two companies have led to concrete order achievements.
A company spokesperson stated, "The recent surge in orders from the North American market reflects not a one-off event but a structural growth trend. Based on the local foundation secured through the acquisition of Hanyang Robotics and the establishment of the new subsidiary, we are now fully prepared to accelerate revenue growth."
Through the acquisition of Hanyang Robotics, Now Robotics has already secured a foundation that can be immediately leveraged in the North American market. The company boasts references for supplying hundreds of robots, primarily to Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors’ partner companies in Georgia, and, based on a local sales and service network built over approximately 20 years, has achieved supply records in the thousands. This structure enables the company to pursue stable expansion without the burden of initial market entry.
Going forward, the company plans to use the US subsidiary as a hub to: ▲ expand supply to Hyundai and Kia partner companies ▲ acquire new local manufacturing customers in North America by leveraging existing references ▲ and further advance its local after-sales service and technical support systems, all simultaneously.
Additionally, Now Robotics will move beyond the traditional OEM-centered supply model to fully implement a "linked growth strategy" that expands its reach to local North American manufacturing customers based on its established references. Through this approach, the company aims to diversify its customer base and achieve further growth in order volume at the same time.
Now Robotics has also enhanced its competitiveness in terms of product portfolio. By acquiring Hanyang Robotics, the company has established a full-line automation system that includes extraction robots, articulated robots, SCARA robots, autonomous mobile robots (AMR), automation systems (SI), and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT). This enables the company to provide turnkey automation solutions beyond just supplying single equipment, thereby targeting both additional orders from existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.
