Korean Air Expands "Airport Preview" Service to 10 Domestic Airports
Real-Time Information on Parking and Congestion
Enhanced Convenience with Features like "Pick-up Request"
Korean Air will significantly expand the coverage of its core mobile application feature, the "Airport Preview" service. The company plans to improve customer convenience by extending the service—which was previously limited to Incheon International Airport—to all domestic airports where it operates.
On April 7, Korean Air announced that the Airport Preview service will now cover a total of 10 airports, including Incheon, Gimpo, Gimhae, Jeju, Daegu, Cheongju, Ulsan, Gwangju, Yeosu, and Sacheon. This expansion was made possible by integrating public data from Korea Airports Corporation in addition to the data previously provided by Incheon International Airport Corporation.
By using this service, travelers can check real-time information before visiting the airport, such as the number of available parking spaces, expected congestion by time slot, and estimated walking time to the boarding gate. A particularly distinctive feature of Korean Air is the "Pick-up Request" function, which allows users to easily share their arrival time and exit information with family or acquaintances via SMS or messenger.
This service is automatically available in the travel information section on the app’s home screen for customers who have booked a Korean Air ticket, and can also be accessed through the departures, arrivals, and schedule menu at the bottom of the app.
