GC MediAI Accelerates Shift from EMR to AI Open Platform
2026 Marked as the Inaugural Year of Large-Scale AI Commercialization
Competitive Edge Built on Technology, Infrastructure, and Capital Strength
"We Aim to Lead the AI-Powered Healthcare Ecosystem"
GC MediAI is accelerating its transformation into a “medical OS (operating system)” company, aiming to lead the artificial intelligence (AI)-powered healthcare ecosystem beyond electronic medical records (EMR).
According to GC MediAI on April 1, the company recently unveiled the commercialization roadmap for “Uisarang AI,” its AI-based clinical and operational automation solution, as well as the development strategy for the next-generation open platform, “Uisarang AI 2.0,” at a corporate briefing session. The company has designated 2026 as the inaugural year for large-scale commercialization of AI and plans to secure mid-to-long-term growth drivers by establishing itself as a platform that connects the entire healthcare ecosystem.

The company currently has a dedicated AI organization and an in-house large language model (LLM) built on H100 infrastructure.
The company’s strengths also include its infrastructure, such as a network of 16,000 hospitals and clinics and 8,000 pharmacies nationwide, as well as a patient platform “Ddokdak,” which has more than 12 million users. Through this, GC MediAI secures over 200 million high-quality medical data records annually, and its market share in data supply reaches 80%. The company’s strategy is to combine this technological prowess with its vast data resources to establish a leading position in the medical AI market.
The company plans to officially commercialize “Uisarang AI” in July. Once implemented, medical professionals will be able to leverage the latest medical knowledge in real time to support diagnosis and prescriptions. In addition, by automating the creation of medical records and minimizing repetitive data entry, “Uisarang AI” will enhance efficiency in clinical and charting work. The system will also reduce administrative workload by automating the generation of claim files and providing advance warnings about risks related to drug price reductions. As a result, medical staff will be able to focus more on patient consultations and the core aspects of their work.
GC MediAI’s mid-to-long-term vision is to build “Uisarang AI 2.0,” a next-generation open platform that will become the hub connecting all healthcare services. By moving away from a closed, software-centered structure and creating an expandable “medical OS” that integrates various external solutions, such as telemedicine apps and health monitoring devices, the company aims to extend its business model across the broader healthcare ecosystem.
To achieve this, GC MediAI will go beyond subscription-based solution revenue to develop a high value-added business model that enhances competitiveness based on value rather than price. This will include data-driven marketing, platform entry fees, and ultimately targeting the domestic digital healthcare market by providing improved customer experiences and personalized insights.
