View original imageStick Investment has appointed Vice Chairman Donggeol Kwak as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Although the largest shareholder has changed to the foreign asset management firm miri capital, the existing management team remains in place.
On March 31, Stick Investment announced this personnel change. The new CEO's term will begin on April 1. Donggeol Kwak will also continue serving as Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
This appointment is part of a management restructuring following the change in the majority shareholder. Previously, Stick Investment changed its largest shareholder when founder and Chairman Yonghwan Do sold his stake to miri capital. However, miri capital has decided not to intervene in management, maintaining a separation between ownership and management.
The new CEO, Donggeol Kwak, has been with Stick Investment since Chairman Do established the company and has led all of Stick’s investments as CIO. Leveraging his deal sourcing capabilities and portfolio management experience accumulated in the private equity (PE) market, he plans to focus on expanding global investments, enhancing the investment portfolio, strengthening the institutional investor network, and boosting global limited partner (LP) discovery and global fundraising capabilities.
