Korea Airports Corporation announced that it will hold the 'International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Airport Security Supervisors Course' at the Aviation Security Training Center (ASTC) in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, from March 30 to April 3. ASTC is the only ICAO-certified training institution in Korea operated by the corporation.

This training program brings together a total of 18 aviation security experts from seven countries: Korea, China, India, Laos, the Philippines, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. The lectures will be led by three security instructors, including two ICAO-certified international instructors from the corporation, to enhance the professionalism of the training.

The main curriculum focuses on practical field work, including supervision and monitoring of security preventive measures within airports, establishment of standard operating procedures, and building an incident response system. Participants will learn security supervision work in accordance with international standards and share security cases from each country to build a cooperative network.

Kwon Youngtaek, Head of the Aviation Technology Training Center at Korea Airports Corporation, stated, "This training will serve as an opportunity to build aviation security cooperation and trust among nations," and added, "We will make every effort to raise the level of aviation security together with the international community."
