Korea Ratings Appoints Patrick Yoon as CEO
Korea Ratings announced on the 24th that it has appointed Patrick Yoon as its new CEO.
Patrick Yoon is a financial expert with extensive experience in domestic and international business and strategy within the global finance and payment industries. Most recently, he served as Country Manager for Korea at Crypto.com, a global digital asset payment platform.

Previously, he was Country Manager for Korea and Mongolia at Visa, where he drove business growth through collaboration with domestic financial institutions and regulatory authorities. He is also known for expanding the partner ecosystem by working with both traditional financial institutions as well as big tech and fintech partners.
In addition, he held various roles in global strategy and business development at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom. In Korea, he served as Deputy Head of Retail Banking at Standard Chartered Bank Korea.
Upon his inauguration, Patrick Yoon stated his intention to reaffirm the role and responsibility of credit ratings in the rapidly changing financial landscape and to maintain consistent rating standards based on independence and expertise.
Korea Ratings commented, "We expect Patrick Yoon's understanding of the global financial environment and his management experience across diverse regions to further strengthen Korea Ratings' evaluation capabilities and market trust."
