10th Gyeongsan Bangokji Peach Blossom Trail Walking Event to Be Held
Children’s and Students’ Art Contest to Be Held Alongside the Event
As spring is in full bloom and the peach blossoms begin to open, the 10th Gyeongsan Bangokji Peach Blossom Trail Walking Event will be held.
This event is organized to allow citizens to enjoy the beautiful peach blossoms and natural scenery together, and to promote a healthy walking culture. It has established itself as a representative spring festival where local residents and tourists participate together.
In particular, this year's event will feature the inaugural Bangokji Peach Blossom Children's and Students' Drawing Contest, which will be held for the first time. This addition is expected to provide even more attractions and participatory programs, especially for visiting families.
The drawing contest invites children and students to freely express the scenery of Bangokji and its peach blossoms through their artwork, offering a meaningful opportunity to nurture creativity and emotional development in a natural setting.
Participants will be able to enjoy the essence of spring by walking along the beautiful peach blossom trails around Bangokji. Various experiential programs and side events will also be held, including peach sapling planting, flower rice cake making, and archery experiences.
Kim Manjung, the head of the organizing committee, stated, "Now in its 10th year, the Gyeongsan Bangokji Peach Blossom Trail Walking Event is further developing as the region's leading spring festival. In particular, with the introduction of the first Bangokji Peach Blossom Children's and Students' Drawing Contest this year, we aim to create a cultural event where families can participate and enjoy together."
Meanwhile, Bangokji is known as a famous spot where peach blossoms bloom beautifully in spring, and it is one of Gyeongsan's most popular tourist destinations, attracting many visitors every year.
