EasyPNP Signs MOU with CheongGus for Automated Billing and Receivables Management
From Case Management to Integrated Billing and Receivables Handling
EasyPNP Co., Ltd., a company specializing in patent and legal case management solutions, and CheongGus, an AI-based billing and collection automation platform, announced on March 18 that they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU). Through this agreement, the two companies plan to integrate EasyPNP's comprehensive patent and legal case management system 'EasyPAT' with CheongGus's billing and collection automation engine via API, initially operating for pilot customers and eventually expanding the service to all clients.
Since its founding in 1999, EasyPNP has been a leading company in the industry, developing and operating case management systems tailored to patent and law firms for 27 years. EasyPAT, which enables management of complex case flows such as filings, intermediate cases, registrations, annuities, and lawsuits within a single system, is used as a core work infrastructure by major domestic patent and law firms. Its strengths include customized operation for each client, a stable server environment, and deep understanding of work processes accumulated over 27 years in the field.
This collaboration is driven by inefficiencies in the post-case management stage. While managing cases and generating billing details in EasyPAT is systematic, the subsequent processes of payment confirmation and overdue management have often relied on manual work. With this integration, by simply pressing the [CheongGus Integration] button in EasyPAT, users can automate invoice dispatch, payment confirmation, and overdue reminders. Once payment is confirmed, the data is automatically reflected in EasyPAT, ensuring data consistency between both systems. Existing EasyPAT users can use the new features without any changes to their current environment.
Empirical data from corporations that have implemented CheongGus show that long-term delinquencies over one month decreased by 83.3%, average payment speed improved by 75%, and time spent on billing and collection work was reduced by up to 79%. Through a structure where EasyPAT manages cases and CheongGus manages billing and receivables, both companies expect to create an environment where professionals can focus on their primary work of case handling.
Chanwoo Kim, Director at EasyPNP, stated, "We have grown alongside our clients in the field of case management for 27 years. Automating the management of billing and receivables is something our clients have wanted for a long time," adding, "Once stability is confirmed through the pilot, we plan to actively expand to other clients as well."
