Gyeonggi Province to Provide Up to 5 Million Won for Research Equipment Usage Fees for Small and Venture Businesses
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Institute of Science and Technology Promotion are launching the "Shared Research Equipment Usage Fee Support Program" to strengthen the research and development (R&D) competitiveness of small and venture businesses in the province.
This program supports usage fees so that companies can jointly utilize research equipment owned by public institutions, universities, and research institutes. It is designed to help small businesses, which may find it difficult to acquire expensive research equipment, with technology development and product commercialization.
The program is open to venture and small businesses in Gyeonggi Province. Any company that uses equipment or technical services through the Gyeonggi Shared Research Equipment Platform is eligible to apply.
Gyeonggi Province has allocated 100 million won this year and plans to support around 20 companies. The maximum amount of support per company is 5 million won.
Currently, 44 institutions in the province participate in the Gyeonggi Shared Research Equipment Platform, with more than 1,600 pieces of research equipment registered.
