Hyundai Motor Company built the new N rapid charging station in the parking lot located at the ‘Tourist Drive’ entrance, where general customers enter the Nürburgring circuit for track driving.
With the opening of the N rapid charging station, charging convenience has been significantly improved, enabling EV drivers at the Nürburgring to begin track driving immediately after charging at the circuit entrance.
In line with the opening of this year’s Nürburgring track season, Hyundai Motor Company will pilot the N rapid charging station for visitors starting this month. All EV models, regardless of brand, can be charged at the station.
After stabilizing and upgrading the charging station’s services, Hyundai Motor Company plans to offer free charging exclusively at this station to European customers of the IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N who use the ‘Charge myHyundai’ app, starting in April. The N rapid charging station will operate for 10 years, from this year through 2035.
Specifically, the Nürburgring N rapid charging station is equipped with two DC (direct current) fast chargers, each capable of charging up to two vehicles simultaneously, for a total of four EVs at once. It supports ultra-fast charging of up to 400kW, and the high-performance E-GMP-based IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes, thanks to the 800V ultra-fast charging system.
