Jeong-eun Lee 6 has returned to the top after seven years.
On March 15 (local time), at the Alaqua Country Club (par 71, 6,182 yards) in Longwood, Florida, Jeong-eun Lee 6 recorded one eagle, seven birdies, and three bogeys for a 6-under-par 65 in the final third round of the LPGA Epson (second division) Tour IOA Golf Classic, which had a total prize purse of 200,000 dollars. With a final total score of 13-under-par 200, she beat Ji-won Jeon by one stroke to claim the title. She received the winner's prize of 30,000 dollars (approximately 45 million won) for this tournament.

View original imageJeong-eun Lee 6 advanced to the United States after achieving six career victories on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, and in 2019, she won the major tournament, the U.S. Women's Open, earning the LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year award.
However, after her U.S. Women's Open victory, she was unable to secure another win and eventually lost her full LPGA Tour status, leading her to compete on the Epson Tour starting this year.
At the end of the Epson Tour season, the top 15 players in the points standings earn eligibility to compete in the LPGA regular tour the following season. By winning her second Epson Tour event this year, Jeong-eun Lee 6 has taken a significant step toward returning to the LPGA regular tour for the 2027 season.

Among Korean players, Ji-won Jeon finished second with a 12-under-par 201, while Shin Bi tied for 60th place with a 6-over-par 219.
