Gijang County, Busan Presents Plaques of Appreciation to Outstanding Donors of "Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign"
Five Organizations and Individuals Recognized
Anticipated to Promote a Culture of Community Sharing
Gijang County (County Governor Jeong Jongbok) announced on the 11th that it recently held a ceremony at the county office to present plaques of appreciation to outstanding donors of the "Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign."
The ceremony was organized by the Busan Community Chest of Korea to honor donors who participated in sharing for neighbors in need during the campaign period, and to encourage the spread of a culture of giving within the community.
Outstanding donors from Gijang County included two corporate entities: Dongil Social Welfare Foundation (represented by Kim Eunsoo) and Haedong Yonggungsa Temple (Chief Monk Deoklim). In addition, groups and individuals such as Susan Industry & Hanmaeum Volunteer Association (Branch Manager Song Osik), Gijang County Pharmaceutical Association (Chairman Yoon Chiuk), and Deoksan Village Chief Choi Jinho were also recognized.
The event was attended by officials from the Busan Community Chest of Korea, representatives from Gijang County, and the selected outstanding donors. Plaques of appreciation were presented, and participants agreed to strengthen the local community protection system through public-private cooperation in order to proactively respond to welfare crises.

Jeong Jongbok, Governor of Gijang County, stated, "I sincerely thank all donors who participated in warm sharing for the community, even during these difficult times of rising prices," adding, "Gijang County will also do its utmost to create a city that is a good place to live and an environment where businesses can thrive."
