Gyeonggi Free Economic Zone Authority Attracts European Advanced Materials Investment in Paris, France
The Gyeonggi Free Economic Zone Authority held an investment roadshow (IR) for the European advanced materials sector on March 10, 2026 (local time) in Paris, France, in conjunction with 'JEC WORLD 2026,' the world’s largest composite materials exhibition. The authority conducted investment attraction activities targeting leading global composite materials companies.
This event was jointly organized with the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and the Korea Carbon Nano Industry Association.
The Gyeonggi Free Economic Zone Authority focused on promoting the investment environment and industrial competitiveness of the Gyeonggi Free Economic Zone (GGFEZ), aiming to attract global companies in the advanced materials sector—essential for strengthening supply chains in national strategic industries such as semiconductors, future mobility, batteries, and aerospace—to Korea.
In addition, the authority visited the exhibition site and the headquarters of various companies to conduct individual investment consultations related to advanced materials.
Discussions included proposals for establishing advanced materials production facilities, research and development (R&D) centers, and smart manufacturing demonstration hubs in key areas such as Pyeongtaek Poseung BIX District, Hyun-deok District, Siheung Baegot District, and Ansan ASV District.
