ALTE to Expand Memory Controller Testing Equipment
ALTE, a company specializing in post-processing testing for non-memory semiconductors, announced on March 9 that it will expand its related testing equipment in response to growing demand for memory controller semiconductor testing.
ALTE plans to place an order for memory controller testing equipment in the first quarter of 2026 and complete the expansion in the second quarter. This investment is part of the company’s strategy to respond to the recent growth of the memory controller semiconductor market and to establish a stable testing supply system aligned with clients’ production schedules.
Through this equipment expansion, ALTE aims to increase its testing production capacity (CAPA) for memory controller product lines and proactively respond to future increases in customer demand. In particular, as demand for high-performance semiconductors rises in data centers, artificial intelligence (AI) servers, mobile, and automotive electronics, the importance of memory controller semiconductors is also increasing, which in turn drives up demand for related testing.
ALTE is recognized for its technological expertise as a non-memory post-processing specialist. Its main businesses include wafer testing, rim cut, and recon. The company offers optimized solutions for customized production products, as well as integrated post-processing production solutions. In addition to existing CIS and DDI products, ALTE is expanding its business domain to include high-specification non-memory products such as system-on-chip and memory controllers.
