Hwasun Sarang Gift Certificate Discount Rate to Be Raised to 12% Through Year-End
2% Additional Cashback for Mobile Payments
Hwasun County in South Jeolla Province announced that, starting in March, it will increase the discount rate for the Hwasun Sarang Gift Certificate from the previous 10% to 12% in order to revitalize the local economy and boost sales for small businesses.
This discount will be applied as a 12% upfront reduction for both paper gift certificate purchases and mobile gift certificate top-ups. In addition, for the month of March, customers who pay using the mobile gift certificate will receive an additional 2% cashback on the payment amount.
The monthly combined purchase limit for the Hwasun Sarang Gift Certificate is 700,000 won, with a maximum of 300,000 won allowed for paper gift certificates. The holding limit per person is 1,500,000 won. However, sales may end early if the monthly budget is depleted, and the discount rate may change depending on budget conditions.
The mobile Hwasun Sarang Gift Certificate can be topped up via the 'CHAK' smartphone app and used for QR payments at approximately 3,000 affiliated stores within the county. Stores do not incur separate payment processing fees when accepting payments via QR code.
