New Owner of Yaksu Station Building, Up 2.8 Billion Won in 6 Years, Is "Black & White Chef" Kwon Seongjun
Plans to Open: Cafe on the First Floor, Restaurant on the Second Floor
Building Price Doubled in Six Years
Kwon Seongjun, the chef who won Netflix's cooking entertainment show "Black & White Chef," has reportedly purchased a building in Sindang-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, for 5.65 billion won.
According to the real estate industry on March 4, Chef Kwon Seongjun acquired the building located at 366-38 Sindang-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, on February 2. The building has a land area of 185 square meters and a total floor area of 359 square meters, spanning one basement level and four above-ground floors.
Built in 1989, the building is situated on a four-lane main road, just a two-minute walk from Exit 7 of Yaksu Station on Seoul Subway Lines 3 and 6.
The price of this building has risen by 2.8 billion won over the past six years. In 2020, it was traded at 2.85 billion won, but when Chef Kwon purchased it in February this year for 5.65 billion won, the price nearly doubled. The land price per 3.3 square meters also increased from 50.89 million won in 2020 to 100.96 million won this year, nearly doubling as well.

It appears that Chef Kwon plans to operate his own restaurant on the second floor and a cafe on the first floor. Recently, on YouTuber Chimchakman's broadcast, Chef Kwon shared, "I am preparing both a restaurant and a cafe. The restaurant will be on the second floor, and the cafe on the first floor."
