Hampyeong-gun announced on the 24th that it had won the Grand Prize in the Festival Tourism category at the "2026 Korea Festival Content Awards" held that afternoon at the Peace & Park Convention Center in Seoul. The event was attended by Deputy County Governor Kang Hachun of Hampyeong-gun and executives and staff of the Hampyeong Festival Tourism Foundation.
The "Korea Festival Content Awards" is a prestigious award that selects outstanding festivals nationwide through a comprehensive evaluation of festival competitiveness, content excellence, economic impact on the local community, and sustainability. Hampyeong-gun has won the Grand Prize for three consecutive years since 2023, making this achievement particularly meaningful.
