Yeongcheon, Pohang, and Gyeongju City Councils United in Lunar New Year "Livelihood Efforts"...Visiting Traditional Markets and Welfare Facilities
On February 11, ahead of the Lunar New Year holidays, the city councils of Yeongcheon, Pohang, and Gyeongju visited local sites to look after people’s livelihoods.
The Yeongcheon City Council (Chairman Kim Seontae) visited welfare facilities, including the Yeongcheon Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, delivered daily necessities, and listened to the difficulties faced by workers.
They then visited the Yeongcheon Public Market, encouraging the use of digital Onnuri gift certificates and helping to boost the local commercial district.
The Pohang City Council (Chairman Kim Ilman) held a shopping event at the Geun-donghae Market to encourage merchants, and also visited the 1st Marine Division of the Republic of Korea Marine Corps and the Naval Air Command to express gratitude to the service members.
They also visited welfare facilities for people with disabilities, delivered consolation gifts, and reached out to marginalized groups.
The Gyeongju City Council (Chairman Lee Donghyeop) purchased holiday ritual food at the Seongdong Market while conducting a campaign to promote the use of traditional markets.

Afterward, they successively visited four local community child centers within the jurisdiction, checked their operational status, explored support measures, and carried out field-oriented legislative activities.
