Lee Donghwan, mayor of Goyang Special City, visited Gangchon Village, the pilot district of Ilsan New Town, on the 11th with Kim Yundeok, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport; Kim Younghwan, member of the National Assembly; Kim Seonghoe, member of the National Assembly; and Kim Seongjung, First Deputy Governor for Administrative Affairs of Gyeonggi Province, to inspect the site.

At the subsequent town hall meeting held at the Baekseok Annex, the head of the Regional Balanced Development Headquarters of Korea Land and Housing Corporation, the head of the Fund Business Headquarters of Korea Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation, and the residents' representative of the Ilsan New Town pilot district attended to discuss key issues related to the standard floor area ratio and the establishment of a special maintenance plan, followed by a Q&A session.
