NHN Payco Launches Point Top-up and Withdrawal Service at CU Convenience Stores
NHN Payco announced on the 10th that it has formed a partnership with CU, the convenience store chain operated by BGF Retail, to launch an offline Payco Point cash top-up and withdrawal service available at CU stores nationwide.
With the launch of this service, users can now deposit and withdraw cash into and from their Payco Points instantly at CU stores across the country. As long as they have a smartphone, they can quickly and easily access financial services at the convenience store near their home, which is expected to significantly improve user convenience.
In particular, the service is meaningful in that it provides an "offline financial hub" for users who do not prefer linking bank accounts and for the so-called "Zalpah generation," who frequently use cash.
To use the service, users need to generate a barcode from the "Convenience Store Top-up" menu in the Payco App, present the barcode at a CU convenience store, and then proceed with cash top-up or withdrawal. The maximum amount per top-up is 100,000 won, and the maximum amount per withdrawal is 30,000 won, with a minimum withdrawal unit of 1,000 won. Top-up is free of charge, while a fee of 500 won is applied to each withdrawal.
The topped-up Payco Points can be used easily not only at Payco merchants both online and offline, but also at card merchants nationwide by linking a Payco Point card.
