View original image"KB Green Ride" is a new global social contribution initiative by KB Insurance that aims to expand mobility rights for vulnerable groups through the distribution of eco-friendly means of transportation, while at the same time reducing carbon emissions and easing household financial burdens. The program will be carried out in cooperation with the local Indonesian subsidiary and aims not only for mutual growth with the local community but also for the creation of sustainable social value.
Through this program, KB Insurance plans to provide electric two-wheelers and safety helmets to 15 low-income households in Indonesia, and to install charging infrastructure to ensure stable operation. By doing so, the company intends to improve mobility convenience for vulnerable groups and contribute to the spread of eco-friendly mobility within the local community.
On the previous day, KB Insurance held a handover ceremony for electric two-wheelers and safety helmets at Danbi Elementary School in Jakarta, Indonesia, with about 100 people in attendance, including school officials, students, and parents from beneficiary households. Alongside the event, a safety education program was also conducted for the beneficiary families.
"KB Green Ride" was planned as an extension of the "Motorcycle Helmet Support Program," through which KB Insurance has provided safety helmets and daily necessities each year to around 1,000 children and adolescents over three years since 2023. It is meaningful in that the company has expanded its social contribution activities, which had previously focused on traffic safety, to include improvements in the mobility environment and the spread of eco-friendly values.
