To commemorate the product launch, Mayor Ki-jung Kang of Gwangju became the first subscriber, actively joining the efforts to promote the integration of Gwangju and Jeonnam and contributing to raising awareness and support for integration throughout the local community.
The "Integrated Gwangju-Jeonnam Special City Love Account" is a demand deposit product that anyone interested in regional integration and balanced development can open, including residents of Gwangju and Jeonnam.
Customers who open this account will be exempt from unlimited fees for electronic financial transfers (internet, phone, and smart banking), cash withdrawals at Gwangju Bank ATMs, and payer automatic transfers (interbank automatic transfers), with no additional conditions required.
In addition, to celebrate the product launch, a "One Account per Gwangju and Jeonnam Resident Preferential Interest Rate Event" will be held until June 30.
Customers who open this account during the event period will receive a preferential interest rate of up to 0.30% per annum for six months from the date of account opening. The preferential rate consists of an annual 0.10% for customers residing in Gwangju or Jeonnam, an annual 0.10% for those who write a message supporting the integration of Gwangju and Jeonnam, and an annual 0.10% for local small business owners. Including the base interest rate of 0.01% per annum, customers can receive a maximum annual rate of 0.31%.
Furthermore, as part of the "ESG Practice Campaign" during the same period, if customers open the account without issuing a physical passbook, donation funds will be accumulated and delivered to the local community. This allows customers to naturally participate in community giving while using financial products.
Customers can open the account by visiting a nearby branch, or through smart banking and mobile web banking. Detailed information about the product is available on the Gwangju Bank website or through the customer center.
