Sacheon City Holds Event to Share Achievements of the 2025 Sacheon Visit Year
Number of Visitors Increased by 3.4% (467,000) Compared to Last Year
Review of Tourism Policy and Public-Private Cooperation Achievements
Sacheon City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 24th that it held the 2025 Sacheon Visit Year Performance Sharing Event.
About 20 participants attended the event, including members of the Sacheon Visit Year Promotion Committee, which is composed through public-private cooperation.
This performance sharing event was organized to share the major achievements of the Sacheon Visit Year initiative and to discuss the future direction of tourism policy development.
According to the city, based on data from the Korea Tourism Data Lab of the Korea Tourism Organization, the number of visitors to Sacheon from January to November this year reached 14,216,085, an increase of 3.4% (467,391 people) compared to 13,748,694 visitors during the same period last year.
In particular, the city provided visitor incentives through programs such as the Accommodation Promotion, a business agreement with SOCAR, and travel expense support events. It also garnered positive responses by hosting a variety of events, including a Dikasi poetry contest, an AI short-form video contest, a special Go match between Cho Hunhyun and Lee Changho, as well as the Geonmaek Market and the National Cultural Tourism Interpreters Walking Competition.
