KCC Glass Earns Integrated A Rating for Third Consecutive Year in KCGS ESG Evaluation
"Company-wide Efforts to Establish a Sustainable Management System Will Continue"
KCC Glass announced on December 19 that it has received an integrated A rating for the third consecutive year in the "2025 KCGS ESG Evaluation and Rating" released by the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS).
KCGS is one of the leading ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) evaluation agencies in South Korea, annually assessing the sustainability management level of domestic companies in the areas of environment, social responsibility, and governance, and assigning ratings accordingly. In this year’s evaluation, KCC Glass received an A rating across all categories-environment, social, and governance-maintaining its integrated A rating for three consecutive years.
Since its establishment in 2020, KCC Glass has steadily strengthened its ESG management. To reduce carbon emissions, the company launched "CULLINAN," an ultra-high-insulation double low-e glass product with world-class insulation performance. More recently, it developed a "lightweight multi-layered glass system" that significantly reduces weight while enhancing the energy efficiency of insulated glass. KCC Glass has also continued to develop various eco-friendly products, including "SAVERS," a new glass product that can reduce bird collisions-the first of its kind in Korea.
The company is also striving to minimize environmental impact in its production processes. Starting with the world’s first installation of a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system in its glass melting facilities, KCC Glass has established and is operating advanced environmental equipment such as ceramic catalytic filters (CCF), sulfur dioxide removal systems (SDR), and electrostatic precipitators (EP). The company also explained that it is contributing to air quality improvement by expanding renewable energy generation through solar power and waste heat recovery systems.
In addition, KCC Glass participates in the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). In 2023, the company established a human rights management policy and has conducted annual human rights impact assessments. Recently, KCC Glass has been expanding its co-prosperity programs and ESG improvement support for its partners, thereby spreading ESG management throughout its supply chain.
