When an emergency bell is activated, a signal is sent to both the police station and the Seongbuk-gu Office’s Department of Welfare for the Elderly and Disabled, enabling a swift response in the event of an accident or emergency.
Lee Seungro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, stated, "Senior centers are the most frequently used spaces for rest and leisure by the elderly, so we have installed emergency bells to ensure they can use these facilities with greater peace of mind. We will continue to provide welfare services that prioritize the safety of our seniors."
