View original imageOn December 11, Kakao announced the official launch of 'Kakao Moment AI' (Moment AI), an AI-based advertising operation support service. Moment AI is designed for small business owners and self-employed individuals who wish to use Kakao's flagship advertising platform, Kakao Moment, but face challenges in managing their campaigns. The service automatically interprets advertising data and suggests operational strategies.
Moment AI enables AI to handle complex settings and analysis processes, allowing advertisers to easily identify the actions needed to improve their campaigns. It analyzes campaign data for each advertiser and provides an optimization score ranging from 18 to 100, calculated by comprehensively considering recent performance changes, competitive landscape, and creative fatigue. The service also offers actionable suggestions that can help improve the score, which advertisers can bookmark or immediately apply by navigating to the settings page.
Advertisers can also compare their performance with competitors based on key metrics such as budget, click-through rate (CTR), and conversion rate (CVR). The platform shows the advertiser's current standing in comparison to the industry average using percentile units, enabling even those with limited advertising experience to objectively assess their performance and use this information for budget allocation and creative strategy.
The platform also provides customer behavior analysis features. It analyzes the user's journey from ad awareness to visit, consideration, and conversion in a four-stage funnel, allowing advertisers to identify at which stage users drop off. Behavioral data for each stage, such as age group, interests, gift-giving, and TokDeal usage patterns, is also provided. To protect personal information, the funnel analysis data applies the K-anonymity standard.
Kakao plans to expand Moment AI into a service that supports decision-making throughout the entire advertising operation process. Additional features will include goal setting, budget allocation, audience targeting, and creative experimentation, as well as automated creative generation and simulator-based A/B testing. The company aims to develop a model in which AI provides step-by-step support from advertising report analysis to strategy development and execution.
