Jeongseon County to Promote Infrastructure Projects for Revitalizing "Untan Pass 1330" Usage
On December 11, Jeongseon County in Gangwon Province announced that it will carry out infrastructure improvement projects in key sections of the integrated walking trail brand "Untan Pass 1330," which connects four former mining areas (Jeongseon, Yeongwol, Taebaek, and Samcheok), to enhance user convenience and improve tourism accessibility.
The "Untan Pass 1330" project consists of a total of seven trails. For trails 4 and 5, which connect Sindong Yemiyok Station to the Time Capsule Park, the county plans to invest 395 million won to upgrade user convenience facilities. An unmanned information booth will be installed in front of Yemiyok Station to assist visitors, and a new 65-meter-long walking deck will be constructed at Time Capsule Park to provide greater convenience for those visiting the county.
