Cheongdo County Strengthens Traditional Culture Through National Folk Song Contest... Grand Prize Awarded to Lee Seungsu
Cheongdo County (Governor Kim Hasu) announced that the 6th Cheongdo National Folk Song Contest, held on December 7 at the multipurpose hall of the Cheongdo Youth Center, concluded successfully.
This event was hosted by Cheongdo County and organized by the Cheongdo Branch of the Gyeongbuk Chapter of the Korean Traditional Music Association (Branch Director Kang Yoojeong). Participants in the rookie, general, and group categories selected songs of their choice and competed in the contest.
The morning featured competitions for the rookie and general categories, followed by the group category, congratulatory performances, and an awards ceremony in the afternoon, making it an occasion to showcase the charm of traditional folk songs.
At the awards ceremony, Lee Seungsu was selected as the grand prize winner. In addition, the top and runner-up prizes in each of the rookie, general, and group categories were awarded, making the event even more vibrant.
The event was held with enthusiastic support from the audience and provided a meaningful opportunity to enjoy traditional culture together.
