HiteJinro Replaces CEO for First Time in 14 Years... Jang Inseop Appointed as Successor
HiteJinro announced on December 8 that it has promoted Executive Vice President Jang Inseop to Senior Executive Vice President and designated him as the new CEO as part of its regular executive appointments for 2026. This marks the first change in CEO at HiteJinro in 14 years.
As the first company in the industry to reach its 100th anniversary, HiteJinro has carried out these executive appointments as part of its future growth strategy to overcome stagnation in the domestic liquor market and actively expand into overseas markets, forming a new management team to lead the next 100 years.
The strategy is to focus on enhancing competitiveness through a generational shift among key executives, including the CEO.
This round of appointments includes four new executives in management, sales, and production, in addition to Senior Executive Vice President Jang Inseop.
The new CEO is expected to be officially appointed by the board of directors following an extraordinary general shareholders' meeting on December 30.
Starting with these regular executive appointments, HiteJinro plans to complete organizational restructuring aimed at ensuring management stability, strengthening internal capabilities, and pursuing global growth strategies.
