Kia Launches Nationwide Participatory Heritage Campaign "Treasure Hunt"
Kia is launching a nationwide campaign to discover and collect heritage assets in celebration of its 80th anniversary, titled "Kia Treasure Hunt: In Search of 80 Years of Legacy."
This is a long-term project aimed at systematically restoring the brand’s identity and history by collecting various assets related to its 80-year legacy. The scope includes vehicles and parts such as early models and concept cars; documents and records like old brochures, articles, and memos; and design and brand materials such as past emblems, logos, sketches, and blueprints. All assets with historical significance and rarity are eligible.
This campaign is open to everyone in the country, regardless of whether they own a Kia vehicle. Participants can join by visiting the official website and registering photos and related information of the assets they possess.
Kia plans to preserve assets deemed valuable after review and assessment by an internal evaluation committee, following subsequent procedures such as donation or lending. Participants whose assets are selected for preservation will receive a small token of appreciation.
Meanwhile, on December 5, Kia held its 80th anniversary celebration at Kia Vision Square in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, with Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Euisun, Kia President Song Ho-sung, current and former executives and employees, and other guests in attendance.
