View original imageThe Dongducheon Disabled Persons Hall is a newly constructed facility located at 405-3, Bosan-dong. It has a total floor area of 1,431 square meters and consists of three floors above ground. Key features include an outdoor parking lot with 15 spaces, and on the first floor, offices for the Association of the Visually Impaired, the Association for the Transportation Disabled, a program room, and a repair room for assistive devices. The second floor houses the Parents of Disabled Association, the Disabled Welfare Association, the Association of the Deaf, the Disabled Parents Solidarity, and a senior lounge for people with disabilities. The third floor features a large auditorium and the office of the Federation of Disabled Organizations, providing space for various events and group activities.
The Dongducheon Disabled Persons Hall aims to consolidate the previously dispersed offices of disability organizations into a single location, enabling more efficient and integrated services. It is also designed to expand customized programs and welfare support tailored to different types of disabilities, thereby creating a space that enhances convenience and accessibility for people with disabilities. Through this initiative, the city expects to strengthen cooperation among disability organizations, improve access to welfare services, and revitalize programs.
