23 Female CEOs from Gyeongbuk Companies Hold Meeting with Gyeongbuk Office of Education to Expand Vocational High School Recruitment

The Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Im Jongsik) held a meeting on December 2 at Hotel Geumosan in Gumi City with business leaders affiliated with the Gyeongbuk branch of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association. The event aimed to expand employment opportunities for vocational high school students in the province and to establish a system for ongoing communication.
This CEO meeting was organized to express gratitude for the operation of on-site training and recruitment linkage at vocational high schools, to strengthen the foundation for ongoing cooperation, to introduce regional talent development programs that connect businesses and schools, and to gather opinions on expanding employment for high school graduates. It was held for the second time, following the inaugural event in 2023.

View original imageThe Gyeongbuk Office of Education has achieved the highest net employment rate in the nation for six consecutive years, according to the Ministry of Education's vocational high school graduate employment statistics. Additionally, through initiatives such as the Vocational Education Innovation District project and the operation of Gyeongbuk-style apprenticeship schools, the office is systematically nurturing field-ready technical talents required by leading local companies.
On this day, female CEOs from 23 member companies of the Gyeongbuk branch of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association-including 3SC, Jigu Environmental Measurement, Yeongwon Environmental LLP, Noble Metal, Sarangchae Gamaseot, Corrosing, Asung Industrial Development, Daeseong Precision, Maru Bakery, Geumgang Disaster Prevention, SF, Photolala, and AIN Cosmetic-attended the meeting. They shared their commitment to creating local jobs and supporting talent development in the region.
The participating business leaders discussed the job competencies required in the field, organizational culture, recruitment plans, support needed for new employees to adapt, and the qualities companies seek in talent. They also expressed their intention to actively cooperate in building a mutually beneficial ecosystem where both companies and schools can grow together, in addition to supporting employment linkage for vocational high school students.
