Deoksugung K-Heritage Store Reopens After Remodeling
Traditional Pattern Goods and Crafts Sold in a Pond-View Space
The National Heritage Promotion Agency announced on December 2 that the K-Heritage Store at Deoksugung has completed its remodeling and resumed operations.
The space offers a modern reinterpretation of the aesthetics of traditional hanok architecture. The restrained design, featuring wood elements, captures the atmosphere of the royal palace, and visitors can enjoy views of the Deoksugung pond from inside the store.
A variety of products featuring traditional patterns are on display and available for purchase. These include goods inspired by motifs such as tigers, Irworobongdo (the painting of the sun, moon, and five peaks), and gat (traditional hats), as well as moon jars, teacups, brass spoons, and jade ornaments. Customers who order beverages from the caf? area can enjoy views of the pond from the terrace.
