Supporting Reemployment with Senior Job Program Guidance

The Busan Regional Veterans Center of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs held a workshop to enhance digital literacy among veterans and provide information on senior job opportunities.

On December 1, the Busan Regional Veterans Center hosted the "Digital Competency Enhancement Workshop and 2026 Senior Job Opportunities Briefing" for veteran members in the Park Jaehyuk Hall at its headquarters.

The event was attended by 51 veterans. The center collaborated with the Busan Digital Learning Center to invite instructors, and participants received training on how to write job applications and self-introduction letters using ChatGPT. The training focused on practical exercises to effectively organize and present their career history and skills with artificial intelligence, rather than simply teaching writing techniques.

After the digital competency training, representatives from Samsung Hope Network and Cultural Space Sujeong explained the overall senior job programs that each organization plans to launch in 2026. They introduced the types of positions available for veterans, working conditions, eligibility requirements, and application procedures, followed by a detailed Q&A session on site.

A representative from the Veterans Support Center said, "We hope that, based on what they learned and the information provided at today’s workshop, our members will find employment in their desired fields and continue to participate in society. We will continue to offer digital skills training and tailored job information."

Currently, there are 10 Veterans Support Centers operating nationwide, providing a variety of employment and entrepreneurship support services for veterans who have served for five years or more, including one-on-one career counseling, job information, education and training subsidies, and career transition allowances.
