Hydrogen Council CEO Summit to Be Held in Seoul from December 2 to 4
Key Challenges for the Global Hydrogen Ecosystem over the Next Five Years to Be Discussed
Hyundai Motor Group has expressed its determination to showcase the strengths of Korea's hydrogen industry to leaders from around the world at the Hydrogen Council CEO Summit, which will be held in Seoul from December 2 to 4. Jang Jaehoon, Vice Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, emphasized the necessity of public-private cooperation for the full-scale expansion of the hydrogen industry and highlighted the importance of collaboration to broaden the global hydrogen ecosystem.
On December 1, Vice Chairman Jang stated, "It is an honor to host the Global CEO Summit in Korea as a co-chair company of the Hydrogen Council," adding, "I am pleased to introduce the strengths and progress of Korea's hydrogen industry to leaders from across the globe." He went on to say, "This CEO Summit not only demonstrates the industry's commitment to hydrogen technology but also strengthens our shared determination to turn vision into action," explaining the purpose of the event.
The Hydrogen Council CEO Summit is an international event organized by the Hydrogen Council, a global CEO coalition launched during the 2017 Davos Forum. The Hydrogen Council is the world's only organization dedicated to a long-term vision for hydrogen and the transition to clean energy, with global companies from key industries such as energy, chemicals, and automotive manufacturing as its members. As a co-chair, Hyundai Motor Group plays a pivotal role in expanding the global hydrogen ecosystem.
This year, the event is being held in Korea. Around 200 participants, including CEOs and senior executives from approximately 100 member companies, as well as government officials from major countries such as Korea, France, Germany, and Australia, will attend to discuss key tasks for revitalizing the global hydrogen ecosystem over the next five years.
