Three Promoted to Executive Vice President, One to Senior Vice President, and Seven Newly Appointed Vice Presidents
On the morning of November 27, LG Uplus announced that its board of directors had finalized executive appointments, promoting three Executive Vice Presidents, one Senior Vice President, and seven Vice Presidents.
LG Uplus stated that the core direction of this round of appointments is its mid- to long-term growth strategy, namely the 'AI Transformation (AX).' The company explained that it has placed key personnel at the forefront of future businesses such as the AI Contact Center (AICC), AI Data Center (AIDC), and the AI calling app 'ixi-O.' At the same time, it emphasized the appointment of talent responsible for strengthening the competitiveness of its core telecommunications business and ensuring stable growth.
Kwon Yonghyun, Head of the Corporate Division, was promoted to Executive Vice President in recognition of his achievements in overseeing B2B telecommunications services across both wired and wireless sectors, and for leading the transition to an AI B2B portfolio based on AICC and AIDC.
In the technology sector, Jeong Seongkwon, Head of the IT and Platform Build Group and an expert in Microservices Architecture (MSA), was promoted to Senior Vice President. Jeong has led service innovation based on software technology.
