Changnyeong County Holds 2025 Regional Welfare Festival
Encouraging the Dedication of "Dongdonggeurimi" Through Public-Private Collaboration
Strengthening Communication and Solidarity
Changnyeong County and the Changnyeong County Community Security Council announced on the 26th that they held the "2025 Regional Welfare Festival" at Gyeonghwa Hall in Changnyeong-eup on the 25th, with around 250 participants, including council members and honorary social welfare officials.
This event was organized to recognize the dedication of the Community Security Council members and honorary social welfare officials, known as "Dongdonggeurimi," who have led efforts to eliminate welfare blind spots in Changnyeong, and to share the achievements of their activities to date.

View original imageDuring the event, 20 individuals who contributed to the advancement of community welfare were awarded commendations. The event also featured a video presentation highlighting the achievements of the past year and presentations on outstanding township-specific projects, providing a platform for empathy and communication.
Park Manwoo, the civilian co-chair, stated, "We have come this far thanks to the hope sown together by the public and private sectors," adding, "We will continue to strengthen communication and solidarity for the development of community welfare."
County Governor Sung Nakin, who attended the event, said, "I am deeply grateful to the council members who have devoted themselves to ensuring that neighbors in need are not left behind," and added, "Your small acts of care and practice are the seeds of welfare that will blossom into a better tomorrow for Changnyeong. We will do our utmost to strengthen the welfare safety net so that all residents can enjoy a basic standard of living."
